User data deletion
Last updated: August 20, 2026 · How to have your data removed from Postella.
You can ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you at any time, and we will do it. This page explains what we hold, how to request deletion, and what happens next. For the full picture of what we collect and why, see our privacy notice.
What we hold about you
- Waitlist signup: your email address, the audience option you picked when signing up, and any campaign tags (UTM parameters) from the link you arrived through. This is stored with Kit (ConvertKit), our email provider.
- Postella app data (if you use the app and connect a social account): basic account info for each connected account (name, username/handle, profile picture, account ID), the access tokens the platform issued to us, content you create in Postella (drafts, captions, media, scheduling details), and post performance data where you've granted it.
- Analytics: aggregate usage data in Google Analytics (pages viewed, clicks, approximate location, device type). This data is not used to identify you personally.
Delete your waitlist data
- Reply to any email we've sent you and ask us to delete your data — a one-line message is enough. Replying from the signed-up address is how we verify the request is yours.
- If you can't reply to an email, reach us through the contact options on postella.ai and tell us which email address to remove.
- Alternatively, every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link — that stops all emails immediately, and you can still ask for full deletion afterwards.
Delete your Postella app data
If you've connected social accounts to the Postella app, you have three ways to have that data deleted:
- Disconnect the account in Postella: open the app's settings and disconnect any social account. This revokes our access and deletes the stored access tokens for that account.
- Remove Postella from the platform's side: Facebook and Instagram under Settings → Apps and websites, X under Settings → Security and account access → Connected apps, and TikTok under Settings → Security → Manage app permissions. When a platform notifies us that you've removed Postella, we delete the data we hold from that account — for Facebook and Instagram this happens automatically through Meta's data deletion callback.
- Request full deletion: to have all data associated with your account deleted — connected-account info, access tokens, drafts, and performance data — ask us from the email address on your account (reply to any email we've sent you, or use the contact option in the app).
What happens next
- We delete the data covered by your request — your Kit signup record, your app data, or both.
- We confirm by email once it's done, normally within a few days and at most within 30 days of your request.
- Deletion is permanent. If you delete your waitlist signup, we have no way to contact you, so you'd need to sign up again to hear about the launch.
Analytics data
Google Analytics data is aggregate and not tied to your name or email, so there is no individual record for us to look up and delete. You can clear the _ga cookies in your browser at any time, and withdraw analytics consent via the Cookie settings link in the footer of our homepage — after that, no further analytics data is collected from your browser.
Questions about deletion or anything else privacy-related? See the privacy notice, or just ask — reply to any of our emails and a human will read it.
